LINTELTRUST: GENERAL GRANTS, MAINSTREAMING EQUALITIES AND OLDER PEOPLE'S
PROGRAMMES
- LATEST UPDATES...........
Mainstreaming Equalities Programme
We have been fortunate in receiving a large donation to go towards our Mainstreaming Equalities Programme: we are actively
seeking ‘matched’ funders so that we can give one lucky project the best chance possible of putting a new or innovative
idea into practice.
Many projects are on three-year funding cycles with LintelTrust, and have now completed. We have now started out on a new stream of projects, and these are detailed below:

that.

OLDER PEOPLE’S PROGRAMME
- Introduction
This programme was established in 2003 when it was part of a national programme led by hact (Housing
Association Charitable Trust). The Programme is now being continued by LintelTrust.
Older People’s Programme
We have a very good relationship with the Agnes H Hunter’s Trust, whereby we disburse funds on their behalf to
projects seeking to assist older people to remain more comfortably in their own homes, for example, by supporting Handyperson
Schemes, Care and Repair organisations, or any organisations that have projects assisting older people in some way.
We used the £10,000 granted to us for 2007/08 by the Agnes H Hunter’s Trust (AHHT) to support the following projects:

LintelTrust – OPP - Other Activities
The Older Peoples programme benefits from being part of a national project:-
-
the
independent evaluation ensures regular monitoring of progress and assessment of lessons learned
-
LintelTrust’s
Director serves on hact’s Older People’s Advisory Group working on
policy issues and the dissemination and learning strategy
-
In
2005, representatives from the Scottish projects participated in an evaluation workshop in Scotland, an evaluation workshop for all funded projects in Britain, and the “Innovation
in Older People’s Housing” conference organised jointly by hact and the National Housing Federation . A conference also took place in 2006 which encompassed learning from all Scottish OPP projects and attendance
and participation from some English projects, too.
